Healthy Skin

Taking good care of our bodies is more than just watching what we eat, what we drink, and being sure to get enough exercise. We also need to take care of our skin. Our skin is our bodies largest organ. The skin protects the body and keeps it at just the right temperature. If the pores on our skin are clogged it is harder for the impurities in our body to be eliminated through the skin. Using a loofah, a dry brush or an exfoliating fiber washcloth daily will help remove dead skin cells, keep your pores open and leave you feeling clean and refreshed.

Reusable Shopping Bags

Billions of plastic bags end up in our landfills every year. These bags are toxic to our environment and a danger to our wildlife. Purchasing reusable bags is a great alternative. They are actually very roomy and can hold more than the plastic bags you get at the supermarket. Be sure and keep the bags in your car so they are readily available when you need them. Purchase enough for your shopping needs. I have about 10 reusable bags myself. Here are just a few places you can find reusable shopping bags flip and tumble , eco bags , Enviro Sax.

Toxic Ingredients in Cosmetics

Many skin care products and cosmetics on the market contain harmful ingredients. These harmful ingredients are absorbed through the skin and can cause allergies, skin irritations and other health problems. Even some that claim to be natural may not be. A cosmetic ingredient dictionary is very handy to have. You can purchase one for under $20.00 and you will be able to look up just about any ingredient you find on a skin care, body care or cosmetic bottle. Always check ingredient labels and know what your putting on your skin. Just as you would check the ingredients of the food your putting in your body. You should try to use natural or organic cosmetics and skin care whenever possible. They may be a little more pricey but your health is well worth it.
